Holistic assessment in recognition that multiliteracy involves several individual elements listed below but overall the project takes full advantage of using the tools to create a clear message about race in relation to self.

Race in Me Poem Podcast Rubric Criteria

• Figurative Language (simile, metaphor, hyperbole, personification)
• Sensory Detail (sight, smell, sound, touch, taste)
• Insight into issues of race and ethnicity
• Head Crack / Humor / Surprise / Emotional Wallop
• Lining / Spacing for emphasis
• Visual creativity
• Auditory - candor, richness of voice, authenticity, preparation
• Rhythm / Sound devices (alliteration, onomatopoeia, rhyme)
