Activity 4 Collect Images and Podcast Race In Me

 

 

Example: Race in Me Podcast

  1. Refine your poem and create a podcast script. (The Yellow Woman poetry example is used for the purpose of training teachers and students how to use software tools and see how to scaffold a lesson with a storyboard.)
  2. Picasa: Gather images from your family albums that help visualize your poetry. (Alternatively, here is a collection of Yellow Woman Images.
  3. Put all your digital images into iPhoto. Use this link to download preselected images for this project example: http://picasaweb.google.com/kferenz/YellowWoman Additional: Digital Library Photo Resources)
  4. Create a new podcast episode with Garage Band 3.0, record your script and drag in photos from iPhoto. Save your work and complete the final steps to export your file from Garage Band to disk.
  5. Open a Podomatic account online. Upload your exported file.

  8. Optional with a Mac: Take a picture of yourself/partner with PhotoBooth

(Note: If you have both still images and movie clips you need to start with iMovie, alternatively if you are just using still images start with GarageBand.)

 

Alternatively with a PC platform or Mac platform:

  1. Use Audacity to record your poem
  2. Tutorial for using Audacity
  3. Use Podomatic to publish your work- http://podomatic.com
