Use Docs for writing and Picasa for image collection

Look back at what you wrote in your blog on the people in your family. Get the family interview questions and answers.

Using these two things write a Race in Me poem. Use Google Docs to write. Invite your partner to either view or share. Each of you needs to write on the same document. Log into your Google Account to get started.

Choice #1

Individual Writing with Partner Collaboration and Comments

Write your poem thinking about your people who make up your family history and all the different ethnic/cultural parts of yourself. You and your partner will write your own poem and create your own individual project but you are required to collaborate and help each other. Keep track of your collaboration on your wiki page.

Minimum Requirements

• Create a three stanza poem
• One stanza for each person: the two people you blogged about and one stanza about yourself.

Choice #2

Partner Writing with a Joint Project

Write a poem jointly with your partner thinking about the people who make up your family histories and all the different ethnic/cultural parts of yourselves. You collaborate on all aspects of the writing. Together you will produce one piece of writing and will create one joint project.

Minimum Requirements:

• Create a three stanza poem
• Each person writes one stanza about a person they blogged about and one about yourself.
• The third stanza is about both of you.
